Küçük Eylemler Atlası
Inspired by the "Creation and Destruction" exhibition by Frank Bowling, this workshop encourages participants to explore how maps, through their borders, names, and blank spaces, can generate diverse meanings. Participants will engage with the concept of "artivism," which focuses on artistic practices that aim to transform rather than simply represent, and will collectively reflect on the question: "What can art become?"
Participants begin with a small action, decision, or inaction from their everyday lives. These moments, which may seem insignificant on their own, begin to tell a different story when placed together. In groups, they create imaginary landscapes based on these moments, giving their landscapes boundaries, names, and rules. Then, starting from their own maps and the spaces they inhabit, they design an imaginary artistic intervention. At the end of the workshop, the maps created by the different groups are brought together to form a collective atlas.
Workshop Facilitator: İlkay Bilgiç.
Capacity: 15 people.
Duration: 90 minutes.
