Düalitenin Nesnesi: Çifte Balta
Throughout history, the axe has been a tangible symbol in various cultures, often associated with dominion, power, and the divine. It is a tool that can be used to create, shape, and transform, but also to cut, break, and destroy. The double axe, embodying these contrasting functions, offers a powerful symbol for contemplating the relationship between creation and destruction in the workshop.
Inspired by the "Creation and Destruction" exhibition, this workshop invites participants to explore the interconnectedness of creation and destruction, using the axe – one of the oldest human-made objects – as a focal point. In the workshop, participants will collaborate to consider the ideas of creation, disruption, and reconstruction that the exhibition's works evoke. Using various materials, they will design their own double axes, imbuing the objects with personal meaning through form, surface, and symbolism. Through their creations, they will reinterpret the boundaries between creation and destruction.
Workshop Leader: Ece Kibaroğlu.
Capacity: 15 people.
Duration: 2 hours.
