Çıplak Ayaklar Kumpanyası: Kuşlama

"Kuşlama" (Entanglement), the latest project by Çıplak Ayaklar Kumpanyası, will premiere at Arter on October 30th and 31st. "Kuşlama" is a performance created specifically for Arter's staircase, featuring 13 dancers. It explores the possibilities and urgency of what seeps, spreads, overflows, and scatters from the street into the museum, as the dancers open themselves to the encounters they experience on the stairs. It's a different approach to pursuing dreams. "Hello, to those I meet on the metro, those waiting at red lights, those honking their horns, those greeting me, those hanging laundry, those looking out the window, those knocking on the wrong door, those woken from their sleep, those laughing, those avoiding eye contact, those breaking up with their partners, those turning their faces to the sun, those taking their cats to the vet, those chanting slogans, those leaving the cinema, those feeling bored, those being beaten, those kissing, those lost, those afraid, those falling in love for the first time, those longing, those moving, those hungry, those drinking too much, those holding a child's hand, those being wronged, those making tea, those going to school, those returning from a long journey, those embracing someone, those singing, those rushing home, those getting lost and ending up somewhere else, those looking at the sky, those pausing to breathe." We are the small people of big cities, seemingly so proud and arrogant.
