Uçurtmanın Kuyruğu Oyunu
Adam, who lives a solitary life, far removed from the outside world, one day finds his door knocked by a man he's never met. With the arrival of this stranger, memories long buried begin to resurface, and Adam is forced to confront his past, particularly his childhood and his relationship with his father.
Growing up under the authority of his father, the man was shaped more by pressure than by love, forced to be strong, fearless, and to refrain from crying, and to behave in a "masculine" way. However, he inherited more than just memories from his father. The power, fear, violence, and understanding of masculinity that have been passed down through generations in a male-dominated world are also deeply ingrained in his life.
As the questions asked by the man become more profound, the boundaries between the past and the present become blurred. He is forced to confront his father, from whom he has been running for years, his childhood, and perhaps most importantly, himself.
Savaş Dinçel's play, "The Kite's Tail," explores the legacy of masculinity passed down from father to son, and how a patriarchal system traps men within the very structures it creates. It tells the story of a man confronting his past and the impact of these societal expectations.
