The restored version of "Rosaura at 10 o'clock," which was shown in the "Classics" section of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, has brought this film, considered one of the cornerstones of Argentine cinema, back into the spotlight. The film, which blends different genres such as crime, melodrama, and psychological drama, tells a story of murder and love through the perspectives of its characters, maintaining its mystery until the very end and offering viewers a thought-provoking experience about the relativity of truth. Often compared to Orson Welles' "Citizen Kane" and Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon," "Rosaura at 10 o'clock" is one of Mario Soffici's masterpieces and paved the way for Argentine cinema to break away from classic conventions and move towards a more modern style.
