The game explores the concept of "value" through the lens of the monetary system. Is it possible for us, with our ordinary and unique desires, to be equal, free, good, just, and valuable within a monetary system? Does inflation equalize us all in poverty? "Almost Equal" depicts the equality that exists among ordinary people, created by the monetary system, which is mathematically possible but never actually realized.
