Lazarus - Diriliş
LAZARUS - A Theatrical Play about Resurrection.
"Everything that is not properly buried will resurface later." – The story follows a young woman whose life is shaped by the unresolved grief following her mother's death, the void left by her father's absence, and the weight of guilt. One day, while trying to help her neighbor who has suffered a stroke, she finds herself on the sixth floor of a hospital. From that moment on, she transforms into a companion who wanders among patients in a state of unconsciousness, talking to them, and even leading them towards death. She is forced to confront the darkness within herself, navigating the fine line between compassion and violence, love and fear.
This story of rebirth, adapted from Fırat Devecioğlu's acclaimed novel "Lazarus," brings to the stage the influences of Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Freud, and Jung.
Award-winning actress Ayşe Günyüz Demirci brings to life the deepest conflicts of the human soul in her portrayal of the character "Lazarus" on stage.
