Flüt ve Piynonun Dansı
Elif YURDAKUL, flute
Cana GÜRMEN, piano
Under the title "The Dance of the Flute and Piano," flutist Elif Yurdakul and pianist Cana Gürmen will perform at the Süreyya Opera House, presenting a selection of pieces from the vibrant world of the flute and piano repertoire.
The program's centerpiece features Francis Poulenc's sonata and "Variations" composed by Franz Schubert, inspired by the theme of "The Faded Flowers" from his song cycle "Die Schöne Müllerin."
The concert will take the audience on a journey from the bright and airy tones of the flute to melancholic melodies, featuring Robert Schumann's enchanting romances, an aria by Tchaikovsky, and a selection of works by Fauré, Debussy, and Ravel, showcasing the delicate transitions characteristic of French music. The audience will also enjoy other beloved pieces from the flute and piano repertoire. Through the changing colors and the shared language created by the two instruments, the performers invite the listener to explore different worlds.
