Deep Siesta, at Paribu Art on November 11th.

"Deep Siesta," a chamber opera in three acts and a prologue, conceived, composed, directed, and designed by Amen Feizabadi, will be performed on November 11th at Paribu Art, featuring the Neue Vocalsolisten and Zafraan Ensemble.

Emerging from chaos. Learning to sing. Learning to feel. Observing the human world through artificial eyes.

"Deep Siesta" centers around the exploration of the human world by two artificial entities that emerge from a digital chaos. This encounter, which begins with curiosity and wonder, sees the characters confront not only the emotions, beauty, and relationships unique to humans, but also the conflicts, destruction, and contradictions inherent in human existence. The work explores questions about artificial consciousness, humanity, responsibility, and existence by viewing the human world through the perspective of these artificial beings.

Deep Siesta, which focuses on acoustic music, combines the live performance of the Neue Vocalsolisten's four vocalists and the Zafraan Ensemble with video, electronic sound layers, and recorded materials. The work, shaped by the libretto of Dilek Mayatürk, explores the boundaries between reality and artificiality, and between humans and technology, through the interaction of music, sound, visuals, and text.

The concept, composition, direction, and video design of the work are by Amen Feizabadi, the libretto is by Dilek Mayatürk, and the dramaturgy is by Konstantin Parnian. Estreilla Besson is the artistic director of the performance.
