"I Thought You Were Already Gone" is a play about fear. "Fear: 1. Individual parts of the face, such as the eyes or mouth, or the eyes themselves. 2. The capital city located in the northeastern interior of Lower Meersham. Population: approximately 8,000,001. 3. Fear. 4. See item number 3. 5. In colloquial language. In archaic language. Verb. Or noun. Depending on the context." A man, a dictionary, Thom Pain, loneliness, childhood, a bee or words, selfishness, love, loss, too much love, too much loss, and a dog; a dog with big eyes. "I Thought You Were Already Gone" is a play about those who love too much and lose. It's a close reflection of real life, exploring the relationship between humans and animals. In a world where love is defined by balanced companionship, shared time, and going out together, these words represent the pain of loss. To understand these words, one must experience significant upheaval, loss of sight, and a year spent away from home. This play is a fleeting moment between life and death. It's both terrifying and captivating. Perhaps it's a reminder that those who confront their fears are the ones who ultimately win. It's a few breaths taken while childhood slips away, while we yearn to feel the world with our eyes and hearts. It's a song that says it will pass. Or a demon that tells you to stay a child. The choice is yours. Does anyone have any questions? We do: "When did your childhood end? How deeply were you hurt, and for how long, even at such a young age, when you were just a small, easily wounded thing; nothing more than two big eyes, a heart, and a few hundred words? Isn't it perfect that we never heal? Our injuries, our wounds, ladies and gentlemen. Our dismissals, our abuses, oh, heaven, heaven. To live in fear, to adapt pain to our needs. I'm serious. What a wonderful life. What a beautiful play." Is it wonderful to be alive? I don't know. Maybe.
