Apples and Hazelnuts on the Western Shore

The western coast of Giresun is not touristic but a productive strip: apple orchards, hazelnut slopes and quiet town shores between them. This route comes in from the Ordu border towards the centre and shows the everyday face of the coast. Four stops, forty kilometres, half a day.
Route Stops

Piraziz.
The western edge of the province near the Ordu border, known for its apples, which can be bought from producers by the roadside in autumn. The shore is calm and uncrowded.

Bulancak.
A long shore with hazelnut slopes behind it. The promenade is laid out for walking and fills in the late afternoon. One of the roads to the highlands starts here.

Giresun Castle.
On reaching the centre, climb to the castle. This is where the town meets, and from its tea gardens the harbour and island appear together.

Keşap (This is likely a place name, so I'm leaving it as is.)
Just east of the centre on the coast road, a quiet district. Not a tourist place; suitable for tea by the sea to close the day.
