The eastern coast of Giresun is the province's most densely settled strip, and across five stops a castle, towns and a fishing harbour follow one another. The sea is on your right the whole way and hazelnut slopes on your left. The route ends at the province's last district on the Trabzon border. Five stops, eighty kilometres, a full day.
Route Stops

Keşap (This is likely a place name, so I'm leaving it as is.)
The first stop east of the centre. Quiet, with its shore and hazelnut groves, a town where local life carries on; a good place to start slowly.

Andoz Castle.
The castle on the rock commanding the valley at Espiye. A short but steep climb; from the top the valley and the sea appear together.

Tirebolu and Saint Jean Castle.
The Genoese castle at the tip of the headland and the town below it. Walk through the walls to the point, then down along the shore to the fishing harbour.

Görele. (This is likely a place name and should be transliterated.)
The home of the kemençe. Görele pide for lunch, then the old houses in the back streets.

Eynesil.
The eastern edge of the province on the Trabzon border. Small and plain, closing the route with the everyday face of the Black Sea.
