Yeni Cami (Eminönü)

Rising directly opposite the Eminönü ferry pier, the mosque was begun in 1597 and finished only in 1665, hence the name New. The Spice Bazaar next door was built as part of its complex. Its courtyard is where crowds off the ferries pause; the pigeon photos taken here are a classic.
