Taksim Sanat

Kültür AŞ's public exhibition space at the entrance to Taksim Metro Station, on level -1. The space, formerly an İstanbul Kitapçısı bookshop, was renovated and opened as Taksim Sanat in 2018 with Resmemaneti, a selection from the municipality's painting collection. The non-profit gallery gives room above all to young and independent artists, runs open calls and workshops and also hosts shows by established names. The third edition of the Genç Buluşmalar exhibition showed 131 works by 44 young artists. Standing in the path of metro passengers, it is where many people meet contemporary art for the first time.
