Sey Hamamı

The historic thermal spring that gives its name to the village of Seyhamamı, 18 kilometres from Kızılcahamam and 2 from Güvem. The water rises at 44 degrees where a north-south fault crosses an east-west one and, in the municipality's description, collects in a natural pool, which sets it apart from the springs in the district centre. It is counted among the stops of the Kızılcahamam-Çamlıdere Geopark, because every hot spring in the region is a product of the same volcanic system and fault lines. The facilities were damaged in the Çerkeş earthquake of 1943 and were later repaired and reopened. It lies on the Güvem-Çerkeş road, on the same route as the Beşkonak basalt columns.
