About Venue
The small courtyard between the Grand Bazaar's Beyazıt gate and Beyazıt Mosque has been the booksellers' market since Ottoman times. Second-hand books, calligraphy panels and textbooks sit side by side; the bust in the centre is of İbrahim Müteferrika, the first Ottoman printer. A shady 15-minute pause on the way out of the bazaar.
