Turkey's first private museum (1980) displays archaeological finds and Ottoman costume, embroidery and ceramic collections in two historic waterfront mansions at Büyükdere. Small, well curated and quiet, it is the cultural stop on a trip up the northern Bosphorus. An hour is enough.
