The pier square directly beneath the Bosphorus Bridge frames one of Istanbul's best-known views: the 1850s baroque Ortaköy Mosque with the bridge behind it. Stuffed baked potato and waffle stands, a weekend craft market and waterside cafés make it crowded but fun. Allow an hour for sunset and the night lights.
