ODTÜ Bilim ve Teknoloji Müzesi

Inside the METU campus, this university museum was founded in 2003, with construction running from 2001 to 2005. It has four parts: the history of science and technology exhibition in the Big Silo, the Hangar devoted to the history of transport, the applied science centre called UFO with more than fifty hands-on experiments, and an open-air display. Outdoors stand steam locomotives, a C-47 and an F-104 aircraft; some of the locomotives came from the former TCDD open-air museum next to Ankara Station. There is also a classic car exhibition and a planetarium. It opens on weekday daytimes; visitors enter the campus through designated gates with a visitor record, so carry an ID and check current hours on the museum website.
