About Venue
Founded in 1968 as Turkey's first natural history museum, it now waits for you in a new building on the Mineral Research campus with minerals, fossils, replica dinosaur skeletons and galleries on the geology of Turkey. The skeleton of the Maraş elephant found near Kayseri is the most photographed piece. The energy park and giant rock samples in the garden keep children busy. Admission is free and there is parking; Çankaya's least known and most gratefully remembered museum.
