Founded in the 15th century and expanded over time, this covered market is one of the world's oldest shopping complexes, with more than sixty streets and thousands of shops. Getting lost among carpets, jewellery, ceramics, leather and spices is part of the experience. Bargaining is expected; a relaxed wander takes one to two hours.
