Harbiye Askeri Müze

North of Taksim in the old War Academy building, the museum tells Ottoman and Turkish military history through armour, campaign tents and weapons. Its main draw is the afternoon concert of the Mehter, the Ottoman military band, which children find thrilling. Allow one and a half to two hours.
