The old cruise terminal between Karaköy and Tophane became a 1.2 km open waterfront promenade in 2021. Istanbul Modern, the restored Parcel Post Office and Tophane-i Amire stand right beside you, with Sarayburnu and the Maiden's Tower across the water. The shops and restaurants may feel expensive, but walking the quay and taking in that view costs nothing.
