Ankara Yüksek Hızlı Tren Garı

Right beside the historic Ankara Station and facing Celal Bayar Boulevard, the Ankara High-Speed Train Station opened on 29 October 2016. Built in two years under a build-operate-transfer model, the complex has 194,460 square metres of enclosed space over eight floors; its six tracks and three island platforms were designed for 50,000 passengers a day. High-speed services to Istanbul, Konya, Karaman and Sivas depart from here. The passenger level holds ticket counters, waiting lounges and a shopping area, with escalators leading down to the platforms. The old station and the new one are linked for pedestrians, so you can step off a Başkentray commuter train and reach the high-speed platforms in a few minutes.
