Yasak Müzikal

The "DasDas Academy Acting Program," now in its eighth year, is presenting "The Forbidden Musical" to audiences this year. This production, which will have its world premiere, is part of the DasDas Academy graduation performance.

Throughout history, humanity has always been tested at two crucial points: restrictions and freedoms. No society has ever existed, nor will ever exist, that has not faced, and will not continue to face, these two concepts.

In a town where chewing gum, falling in love, and even elevated blood pressure are forbidden, the love between two young people is also outlawed. The play primarily tells the story of this love affair and how it challenges the society's obsession with rules and restrictions. This struggle unfolds in a dystopian setting, utilizing all elements of comedy.

The audience will be confronted with a thought-provoking dystopian story that explores themes of censorship and freedom, while also experiencing a darkly humorous play where the dystopia occasionally veers into the grotesque.

We will watch, within this dystopian world, how merchants and the poor struggle with the restrictions, and how those who create these restrictions experience their own process, all while laughing, enjoying ourselves, and sometimes feeling a sense of regret.

We wish everyone a pleasant viewing experience.
