"A poem about fruits..."

Everyone will read a poem about their favorite fruit. Strawberry, plum, cherry, apple, watermelon.

"Teacher, why did I become a watermelon? Why couldn's I be a strawberry? At least I could have been an apple."

"Why did they choose me to be the watermelon?"



Years later, Yasemin, who asked that question as a child, finds herself facing a similar irony in her own life:

As Yasemin prepares for the lighting rehearsal on stage, time seems to expand. This journey, spanning from the shadow of being the middle child in her childhood, through rebellious phases in adolescence, and from her dreams to her loves, sees her searching for her own voice while exploring the voices of others. She seeks the trace of courage once again, echoing the voice of her mother.

Will Yasemin overcome her fear of being seen and find the courage to break free from her past, her family, her beliefs, and her desire for existence, or will she remain hidden in the shadows?

This one-person play brings to the stage the story of a woman who, through the wounds life has inflicted, strives to find her own voice and strength.

Is there a way to recover everything we've lost?
