INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT: https://www.instagram.com/tedxmuglafenlisesi?stkn=MThkNDhyZ3hpbTM2MA== SPEAKER INFORMATION: Mete Taşın is a professional opera singer, music educator, and academic who is actively involved internationally. After completing his undergraduate studies at the Istanbul University State Conservatory, he obtained his master's degrees from the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music (New York) and the Conservatori del Liceu (Barcelona). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music in Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Ireland, while also specializing in vocal and piano pedagogy at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna. Throughout his career, he has performed leading tenor roles such as Don José (Carmen), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Rodolfo (La Bohème), and Mecnun (Leyla and Mecnun) on prominent stages in the United States, Europe, and Turkey, including Carnegie Hall. In addition to his operatic repertoire, he has also performed as a solo tenor in works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Handel's Messiah, Verdi's Requiem, and Orff's Carmina Burana. He possesses a unique performance approach that combines the classical *bel canto* technique with the modal and rhythmic elements of traditional Turkish folk music, integrating them through symphonic arrangements. With this vision, he has established the "Anadolu'nun Senfonisi" ensemble and released the album "Anonim," bringing traditional music to a wider audience within an operatic framework. https://www.instagram.com/metetasin?stkn=bmxlajIzcjZjbXdx Tuluhan Tekelioğlu is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, and author. After graduating from the Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism, at Ankara University, she began her career in Paris at Sipa Press. In Turkey, she worked at Hürriyet, Kanal D, and Habertürk, creating and presenting programs for various television channels. In 2010, she transitioned her journalistic experience in print and visual media to documentary filmmaking. She has focused her camera on people whose voices are not heard and on realities that society needs to confront. Her documentary "Yeni Hayat" (New Life), Turkey's first organ transplant documentary, resulted in 2,000 organ donors through its screenings. With the motto "If there are women, anything is possible," she created the film "Yapabilirsin" (You Can Do It), a film of hope and courage that tells the stories of women who continue to move forward in places where they are told they "cannot." This documentary, which demonstrates how the courage of one woman can open doors in the life of another, won the International Flying Broom Women's Film Festival award. The proceeds from its screenings in the United States were used to provide scholarships to 102 female students through the Contemporary Life Support Association. Believing that courage is contagious, Tekelioğlu has brought the dreams of young people, the life wisdom of influential figures in Turkey, and the world of the alpha generation to audiences through her documentaries "Güç Sensin" (You Are the Power), "Efsaneler" (Legends), and "Çocuklar Hep Doğruyu Söyler" (Children Always Tell the Truth). Her documentaries "Gelecek İçin Üretmeye Değer" (It's Worth Producing for the Future) and "Sular Bulanmadan" (Before the Waters Disappear) focus on the future of production, water, and life. Tekelioğlu, the author of books like "40 Women at 40," "50s Men," "Persona Non Grata," "You Can Do It," and "You Are Powerful," continues to make the invisible visible through her documentaries and books that transform human stories into calls for change. https://www.instagram.com/tuluhantekeli?stkn=cTlmZDBoaXdpZTBw Sencer Ekiz, known as "Ben Sencer," was born in Denizli. Despite being one of the top students in one of Turkey's best science high schools, he faced challenges during his high school years. As a result, he didn't achieve the desired success in the university entrance exam and, in his own words, "failed miserably." He decided to work for another year to pursue his dreams. After that year, Sencer achieved a high score in the university entrance exam and was accepted into the medical faculty. He also ranked 8th in the KPSS exam that same year. Sencer says that he achieved a good ranking by understanding the strategies of the exam board (ÖSYM) and working intelligently. During his university years, he founded SNC Academy, one of Turkey's largest online coaching platforms. https://www.instagram.com/ben.sencer?stkn=MThybzlpbjdwcmVqZA== Yavuz Dizdar was born in Istanbul in 1964. He wrote articles about health and life in an economic newspaper for approximately twenty years, and he continues to publish his writings regularly on his own website. The aim of his individual work is to support new thinking in science. The overall scope of his activities can be summarized under the heading of "a fair, independent, and sustainable life." While pursuing new perceptions, meanings, and expressions in art, she questions what the possibilities offered by technology mean for humanity, life, and the future. With support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology's "Techno-Entrepreneurship Capital" program, she founded DesignArt, which was the first design company to be accepted into Boğaziçi University Technopark. Ayşe Oren, who won the JCI Turkey Cultural Achievement award, has been honored as a "Future Leader" by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
