Before you enter the water, our expert team will provide a brief but comprehensive introduction to basic paddling techniques and safety information, ensuring you feel completely confident.
Depending on the wind and water conditions on that day, we will be carrying out one of the following two unique routes, which will offer you the most beautiful views of Istanbul:
1. Eyüp & Nature Route: A peaceful route located on the calm waters of the Golden Horn, offering a blend of nature and history.
● Historical Feshane Building & Eyüpsultan Mosque: A historical and spiritual atmosphere rising along the coastline.
● Pierre Loti Hill: This iconic hill offers a unique view of the Golden Horn from above.
● Rabbit Island: Enjoy a peaceful ride around the natural islet, which is home to various animals such as rabbits, geese, and ducks.
2. Galata & Historic Peninsula Route: A panoramic and iconic route that allows you to view Istanbul's iconic landmarks from a unique perspective, at water level.
● Golden Horn Shipyard: A glimpse into the historical fabric of one of the world's oldest and still-active shipyards.
● Bulgarian Iron Church (St. Stephen): This is a unique church in the world, entirely constructed from cast iron, and boasts magnificent architecture.
● Fanar Greek High School: A magnificent building with red brick walls, situated on the slopes overlooking the Golden Horn.
● Historic Balat Houses: Colorful and nostalgic streets of Istanbul, lined along the coast.
● Galata Tower & Galata Bridge: Enjoy the privilege of viewing one of the city's most famous skylines from the water.
Throughout the journey, your professional guide will share the fascinating history and stories behind each site you visit, and will also guide you to the best spots for taking photos.
The calm and sheltered waters of the Golden Horn, combined with our routes that stay close to the shore, offer a comfortable and enjoyable kayaking experience for all participants aged 10 and above, even for those who are trying kayaking for the first time.
