The timeless masterpiece of classical ballet, Swan Lake, is coming to the stage in Istanbul with a captivating performance by the Georgian State Ballet, accompanied by the Piu Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Levan Jagaev.

Tchaikovsky's unforgettable music brings Swan Lake to life, and its timeless story, which explores themes of love, magic, betrayal, and fate, has captivated audiences in the world's most prestigious theaters for nearly 150 years. First performed in 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the work is now considered one of the most iconic masterpieces of classical ballet.

The love story of Princess Odette, who is transformed into a swan by the curse of the evil sorcerer Rothbart, and Prince Siegfried faces a great challenge with the appearance of Odile, Odette's dark counterpart. The unforgettable contrast between the White Swan, Odette, and the Black Swan, Odile, combined with Tchaikovsky's powerful music, brings to life the timeless story of love and betrayal.

The State Ballet of Georgia, which carries on a rich ballet tradition to international stages, has been operating under the artistic direction of the world-renowned prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili since 2004. Ananiashvili, a former principal ballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre, was named among "the 12 greatest ballerinas of all time" by The Daily Telegraph.

In Istanbul, Tchaikovsky's timeless music will come to life through a live performance by the Piu Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Levan Jagaev, as ballet and symphony converge on the same stage.

The ensemble, known for its international tours and performances on prominent stages around the world, received the Herald Angels Award at the 2008 Edinburgh International Festival. In 2024, they staged a highly acclaimed production of "Swan Lake" at the London Coliseum.
