A Brand-New Era: "Reliance" and Powerful Live Performances
Led by former Opeth drummer Martin Lopez and Joel Ekelöf, known for his captivating vocal tone, Soen has created a unique peak of its own since its formation by blending the technical precision of progressive metal with post-rock atmospheres and deep melodic structures.
Following the global success achieved with its previous album “Memorial,” the Swedish band took its sound into an even more aggressive, raw, and dark dimension with its seventh studio album, “Reliance,” released in January 2026. Focusing on the decay of the modern world, the disconnection brought by digitalization, and inner questioning, the album received critical acclaim from the moment it was released. Music fans will have the opportunity to hear new-era Soen compositions such as the album’s leading tracks "Primal," "Mercenary," and "Discordia" live in Turkey for the first time.
Both Hard-Hitting and Deeply Human
With its musical style, Soen appeals to fans of giants such as Tool, Opeth, Katatonia, and Gojira, and promises an almost spiritual catharsis onstage. On nights blending Cody Ford’s powerful guitar riffs, Martin Lopez’s drum parts, and Joel Ekelöf’s hypnotic vocals, the venues will be filled with both the fresh energy of the “Reliance” album and the band’s classic older masterpieces.
Mark your calendars now for the band’s Turkey tour, with Karnaval as its media sponsor, to experience Soen’s energy up close.
