A Brand-New Era: “Reliance” and Powerful Live Performances

Led by former Opeth drummer Martin Lopez and Joel Ekelöf, known for his mesmerizing vocal tone, Soen has created a distinctive pinnacle of its own since its formation by blending the technical precision of progressive metal with post-rock atmospheres and deep melodic structures.

Following the global success of its previous album, “Memorial,” the Swedish band took its sound to an even more aggressive, raw, and dark dimension with its seventh studio album, “Reliance,” released in January 2026. Focusing on the decay of the modern world, the disconnection brought about by digitalization, and inner questioning, the album received critical acclaim from the moment it was released. Music lovers will have the chance to hear new-era Soen compositions such as “Primal,” “Mercenary,” and “Discordia”—the album’s driving tracks—live in Turkey for the first time.

Both Hard-Hitting and Deeply Human

Through its musical style, Soen appeals to listeners of giants such as Tool, Opeth, Katatonia, and Gojira, and promises an almost spiritual catharsis onstage. On these nights, both the fresh energy of the “Reliance” album and the band’s classic older masterpieces will fill the venues, blended with Cody Ford’s powerful guitar riffs, Martin Lopez’s drum parts, and Joel Ekelöf’s hypnotic vocals.

Mark your calendars now to experience the band’s energy up close during its Turkey tour, with Karnaval as the media sponsor.
