“Sobe Cabaret” is a CABARET play that takes the audience on a laughter-filled journey guided by songs that are etched in Turkey's memory and never leave our lips. Each sketch tells a completely different story built upon familiar melodies; sometimes in the backstage of a cabaret, sometimes on the stage of a love competition, and sometimes in absurdly humorous moments from daily life...
Colorful characters bring their own funny, exaggerated, and sometimes touching stories to the stage by using the lyrics of the songs almost as if they were part of the dialogues. In these sketches, where love, flirting, disappointments, small victories, and big misunderstandings intertwine, the audience not only sings along to familiar tunes but also sees how these songs gain entirely new meanings in different situations.
Progressing with quick transitions between sketches, “SOBE CABARET” is an INTERACTIVE play. The audience feels like a part of the play with these surprise improvisational games.
