Sevgi Soysal Yaşamakta Israr Ediyor

A woman who turned forty years old, far from her home country, in London...
In a two-bedroom house that was temporarily rented...
That morning, too, she opened her eyes with the first light of the day.
Perhaps it's because the cancer is as stubborn as he is, and it's not letting him rest peacefully.
Was it because, despite his defiance of death, that very life force, that relentless drive to live, ultimately consumed him?
Or perhaps it's because the characters he writes haunt him, existing in a state between sleep and wakefulness?
If this woman is Sevgi Soysal, there is no single answer to these questions because there are many possibilities.
Sevgi Soysal, a woman who embraces life and never fears it, embarks on a journey through the pages of the books she finds within a mysterious package. This journey, spanning from the 25th to the 50th anniversary of the Republic, evokes memories of friendship, companionship, love, perseverance, stubbornness, rebellion, absence, abundance, oppression, joy, laughter, and satire, all while constantly skirting the edge of death, yet never giving up on her path. As she reflects on the growth of a woman and the transformation of a country, her journey is always rooted in truth.
"This path is long and arduous. It can encompass the entirety of a human life. In fact, it may even demand the ultimate price: your life. Because grasping the truth inevitably requires confronting those forces that oppose it. The only challenge truly worth striving for, even dying for, is the pursuit of truth. And what about writing the truth? Consider the difficulty of that endeavor. But the very act of striving to write the truth is what gives writing its meaning..." (Sevgi Soysal, "Writing the Truth," Bakmak, (Iletişim Yayınları, 2004), p. 122)
