About the exhibition content:
THE ART OF TRAVEL.
From the Sadberk Hanım Museum and the Ömer Koç Collection.
The "Art of Travel" exhibition explores journeys made to Ottoman lands spanning from the late 15th century to the early 20th century, focusing on the motivations behind these travels. Created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Koç Group, the exhibition features works selected from the Sadberk Hanım Museum and the Ömer Koç Collection, and centers on travelogues, which present travel not just as a change of location, but as a conscious act of selection and documentation. In addition to the travelogues, paintings that reflect the world of that era, and objects related to Ottoman geography, are also on display as integral parts of this visual and intellectual process.
