A SPECIAL REQUEST / COMEDY

Stefan Vögel's play "Die Niere," which is the most frequently performed contemporary comedy in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, is making its Turkish premiere under the title "A Special Request."

A celebratory dinner. Two couples. And a special request that no one expected...

What began as an ordinary evening for Zeynep, Cem, Figen, and Gökhan takes an unexpected turn with a surprising request. Marriages are questioned, friendships are tested, and the ease of saying "I would do anything for you" is confronted with the difficulty of actually upholding that promise.

These four people, who believe they know each other well, only complicate matters further as they search for answers. Because everyone at the table has something to say, but their words and their calculations rarely align!

Sevinç Erbulak, Tayanç Ayaydın, Emel Çölgeçen, and Kaya Akkaya came together for... A Special Request. It's a comedy filled with surprises that playfully questions the boundaries of love, friendship, and sacrifice.

The play, an adaptation of Stefan Vögel's "Die Niere" by Gizem Ertürk & Serkan Üstüner, is being staged under the direction of Serkan Üstüner and produced by Poetika Yapım.

What would your response be if someone you care about asked you for something you would never expect?

Stefan Vögel's fast-paced, surprising, and sharp comedy explores the gap between the person we believe ourselves to be and the person who emerges during a real crisis, all with a witty and humorous approach.
