Soren Sveistrup's novel Deadly Game (original title Birkely / Hide and Seek) tells of the revenge taken years later by secrets committed in childhood. 

The story begins in 1992, when a group of children finds a body in the forest. 

Years later, amid the present-day murders, the killer plays a classic game of “hide-and-seek” by sending mysterious messages to the victims, offering one of the most gripping examples of Scandinavian crime fiction.
