Soren Sveistrup's novel Deadly Game (originally titled Birkely / Hide and Seek) tells the story of the revenge taken years later by secrets from childhood. The story begins in 1992, when a group of children finds a body in the forest. Years later, in the present-day murders, the killer plays a classic game of “hide-and-seek” with the victims by sending them mysterious messages, offering one of the most gripping examples of Scandinavian crime fiction.
