Soren Sveistrup's novel The Deadly Game (originally titled Birkely / Hide and Seek) tells of the revenge that secrets committed in childhood exact years later. The story begins in 1992, when a group of children finds a body in the forest. Years later, in the present-day murders, the killer plays a classic game of "hide and seek" by sending mysterious messages to the victims, offering one of the most gripping examples of Scandinavian crime fiction.
