Modundayız Sunar: Arab Strap
Arap Strap will be performing at %100 Studio on November 27, 2026!
The 2021 album "As Days Get Dark," which received widespread critical acclaim and topped the charts, marked Arab Strap's first release since 2005, signaling a new era for the band. Now, this new era is expanding and deepening.
The period that Arab Strap refers to as their "early years" began in 1995 when Malcolm Middleton and Moffat started collaborating. The band, blending lo-fi, post-rock, and alternative music in their own unique way, quickly established a distinctive identity thanks to Moffat's deeply personal, romantic, and darkly humorous lyrics. With the support of John Peel, the band worked with a major record label and left a lasting impact with the six albums they released before disbanding in 2006.
Today, the first two tracks from their new album, released to mark the launch, clearly demonstrate the band's focus on the future rather than the past. "Allatonceness" welcomes the listener with powerful drums and some of the band's heaviest riffs to date. Following that, "Bliss" stands out as one of the band's most dance-oriented and electronic tracks to date.
The resulting work combines both the raw energy of a single track with the balanced and mature structure that comes from a longer creative process. The album is full of powerful and impactful tracks, some standing out for their musical energy, while others showcase Moffat's sharp lyrics.
This new album offers a powerful, bold, and incredibly contemporary musical expression, paying homage to Arab Strap's past while focusing entirely on the future. Don't miss Arab Strap on November 27th at Zorlu PSM; get your tickets now!
