Letters to Milena.

Kafka and Milena met in Prague. Milena was a journalist and had a good command of the Czech language. Their friendship began when Kafka asked her to translate his writings into Czech. Milena lived in Vienna and was married. Kafka, on the other hand, had had two women in his life, had become engaged, but had broken off the relationships. Their correspondence initially concerned work-related matters, but it soon evolved into a daily exchange of letters, forming a close relationship. Both of them shared a common trait: they were both ill. Whether Kafka and Milena will find happiness together remains to be seen.
