Midlake
100% Music Presents: Midlake in Istanbul!
Midlake, one of the most original and respected groups in the American indie-folk scene, will be performing at the IF Performance Hall in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, on November 6, 2026, with the support of Epifoni and %100 Müzik. They will be bringing their music to Istanbul's music lovers.
For over two decades, Midlake has been crafting its own unique musical world, drawing its roots from the university town atmosphere of Denton, Texas. The band has created a distinctive musical universe by blending pastoral folk melodies with progressive rock and psychedelic elements. Midlake has garnered critical acclaim, particularly for albums like "The Trials of Van Occupanther," "The Courage of Others," and "Antiphon," and has reached a large and devoted fanbase with its timeless songs.
Midlake made a strong comeback with their sixth studio album, "A Bridge To Far," released last year, offering both a deeply personal and universally relatable narrative. The album explores hope not as an abstract concept, but as a fundamental human instinct for survival. The band's leader, Eric Pulido, summarizes this approach with the following words:
"Hope is a necessity. It's the ability to look beyond what is, to see what could be... We all experience it in different ways."
Recorded at Echo Lab Studios in Denton, produced by Sam Evian, the album is the result of a seamless, instinctive, and genuine creative process. This sound, cinematic yet understated, deep yet free from emotional manipulation, represents one of the purest expressions of Midlake's musical identity developed over the years.
Known for its powerful atmosphere and profound performances, Midlake will share both classic tracks from their career and songs from their album "A Bridge To Far" with music lovers at the Istanbul concert. With their emotionally charged compositions, layered arrangements, and timeless storytelling, the band is preparing to give its audience an unforgettable night at this long-awaited event.
