The Lausanne Exchange Foundation Choir will perform on Saturday, September 26th, in the evening at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kartal Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center, to support the struggle for survival of the animals under our care. The concert will be conducted by Maestro Garip Mansuroğlu.
On this special evening, the Lausanne Exchange Foundation Choir will perform, accompanied by dancers. FLYING POTS It will accompany [him/her/them/it].
All the proceeds from the concert will be used to rescue stray animals at risk, as well as to provide treatment, care, and safe homes for the animals under our care, as part of our "Keep Your Companion Alive" campaign.
Established in 2005 under the auspices of the Lausanne Exchange Foundation, the choir aims to preserve and pass on the shared cultural heritage resulting from the population exchange between Turkey and Greece following the Treaty of Lausanne, and to share it with future generations.
The ensemble, which performs works in Turkish, Greek, Pomak, Aromanian, Macedonian, and Albanian languages, as well as folk songs from the Balkans and compositions by composers who were part of population exchanges, will be accompanied by a 35-member choir, an 8-piece live orchestra, and dancers throughout the evening. FLYING POTS It will bring the shared memory of both sides of the Aegean Sea to the stage.
