Kuyucaklı Yusuf
"The Echo of Silence"
Sabahattin Ali's timeless novel, "Kuyucaklı Yusuf," a classic of Turkish literature, is being brought to life on stage once again through a one-person stage adaptation.
"I remained silent once..."
"After that, I kept talking to myself."
Yusuf's silence, which began in his childhood, grows within the stifling environment of a small town. It's the unseen struggle of a child who has lost his family, fighting against love, injustice, social inequality, and silence itself.
This play is a poignant lament, a powerful stage portrayal of Yusuf's inner thoughts, exploring themes of lost youth, unspoken love, and ignored injustice.
