Founded in 1998 by a group of experienced theater professionals, Yakın Theater began its initial productions with the works of William Shakespeare. While our theater conducted text analysis and staging work based on Martin Lings's book "The Shakespeare Myth," we prioritized other theatrical projects, citing a lack of the necessary staging and acting resources to effectively convey the meaning of Shakespeare's works on stage.

After a journey of 17 years, which the theater describes as a process of maturation, the company is returning to its origins, revisiting the Shakespeare play "A Winter's Tale," the very work it began with when it was first established.
