"Man and Superman," adapted from the original work by British playwright George Bernard Shaw, is a dramatic and critical play infused with witty and humorous elements. The story takes place in a peculiar and chaotic mansion in the English countryside in the early 20th century.
The owner of the mansion, the elderly, wise, but cantankerous Captain Shotover, is a former seafarer who has spent most of his life at sea. He strives to live a peaceful, orderly, and meaningful life in his home, but his family's complicated relationships and the frequent visits from unexpected guests constantly disrupt his efforts.
"The House of the Brokenhearted" critiques the characters' search for meaning in their lives, their illusions about love, and the reality that true happiness cannot be achieved through material gain.
