KINCILI-ÖMERAĞZI KOYUNDAN KERPE BURNU'NA

Before reaching the rugged coastline shaped by the Black Sea's turbulent waves, we will embark on a relatively easy 12-kilometer hike, during which we will witness the changing colors of nature. Our hike will begin in the Babaköy region of the Kandıra district in Kocaeli, and we will ascend to the summit of Babadağ and visit its shrine before descending to the Black Sea coast.

Course Information & Route:

Route: Kıncılı - Kerpe Cape.

Walking distance: 12 km.

Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours.

Difficulty Level: Easy - 3.

Breakfast.

At the rest stop (TEM 76), we will have breakfast using the food we brought with us and what we can purchase at the facility.

Lunch and Dinner.

We will have lunch with the food we bring with us. I suggest bringing light snacks like sandwiches. We can decide together about dinner when we return.

WARNING.:

This is definitely not suitable for people with heart problems, high blood pressure, or weight issues.

The vegetation may be overgrown, so it might be suitable for short, exploratory walks.

We will create a WhatsApp group before the event to share information and photos.

• Fitness Level: A reasonable level of fitness is required. This hike is suitable for those who are new to hiking.
• Terrain: The elevation changes are minimal, and the trail consists of gently sloping paths and tractor roads. There are occasional sections where you may need to navigate through bushes.
• Trail: Typically, it's a dirt road, but it can also include paths and unpaved roads.
• Distance: Varies between 5 and 15 kilometers.
• Who can participate: Anyone who is new to hiking and does not have any health problems can participate.
