Onur Ünlü is adapting "The Son of the Sun" for the stage!

Considered one of the most unique films in Turkish cinema, "Güneşin Oğlu" (Son of the Sun), directed by Onur Ünlü, is being brought to the stage as a Zorlu PSM production, featuring a strong cast of experienced actors and emerging talents. "Güneşin Oğlu," which adapts Onur Ünlü's world of dark humor from the silver screen, is now meeting with theatergoers.

The play, starring İbrahim Selim, Deniz Celiloğlu, İlayda Alişan, Beyti Engin, Ali Yoğurtcuoğlu, and Zeynep Kankonde, also features Efekan Can, Sergen Özdemir, Ilgaz Kaya, and Selin Beliz Şahan.

Throughout his life, Fikri Şemsigil waited for a miracle, and finally, he experiences it, discovering that he is the "Son of the Sun." However, this miracle turns out to be far different from what he imagined, and it completely upends Fikri Bey's life. Now, Fikri Bey's spirit is constantly entering and leaving the bodies of the people around him. Eventually, Fikri Bey realizes that, this time, he must pursue the truth in order to escape the miracle he has longed for for so many years. Things have spiraled out of control. And what will become of his beautiful neighbor across the hallway?

The play, which features a unique theatrical language where the actors create their own spaces on stage, is directed by Onur Ünlü and Nagihan Gürkan, who maintain a consistently high tempo throughout. "The Son of the Sun" will premiere on December 5th at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage.
