Garanti BBVA Genç Konserleri: Mareux

Mareux, one of the most prominent names in the darkwave and post-punk scene in recent years, is coming to Turkey for the first time as part of the Garanti BBVA Young Concerts program, in collaboration with the Blind organization. The Los Angeles-based musician and producer will perform on November 5th at the IF Performance Hall in Beşiktaş. Mareux, with its dark, romantic, and hypnotic atmosphere, has garnered a large and devoted following worldwide. The artist blends coldwave, synth-pop, post-punk, and goth aesthetics with modern electronic textures. Particularly known for her viral cover of "The Perfect Girl" in 2021, Mareux has made a significant impact in the alternative music world and is considered one of the key figures in the resurgence of darkwave and post-punk among a new generation of listeners. Mareux's music transports listeners to a nostalgic yet contemporary world with its layered synths, deep vocals, melancholic melodies, and dark rhythms that invite dancing. The artist's debut album, "Lovers From the Past," released under the Warner Records/Revolution Records label, offers a cinematic narrative centered around heartbreak, obsession, and the ghosts of past loves. With a global fanbase spanning from Eastern Europe to South America, Mareux is recognized as one of the most innovative and influential representatives of alternative culture today.
