"Skirts and Trousers," performed by Nurseli İdiz, Nergis Kumbasar, and Kimya Gökçe Aytaç, continues its seventh season, bringing its performances to art lovers in every city in Turkey through the BAM Production organization.
In the award-winning play "Skirts and Trousers," Nurcan surprises her old school friend, Aysel, by visiting her home after years of not seeing each other. Nurcan explains that her husband has been unfaithful to her and she wants revenge, asking Aysel for help. Aysel is saddened by Nurcan's situation and promises to help her. As Aysel and Nurcan strategize about how to deal with Nurcan's husband, Aysel also begins to question her own marriage, feeling the impact of these circumstances. While both women examine their marriages, they embark on a journey into their pasts and realize that they have both been shaped by family and societal pressures, becoming the people others expected them to be, rather than the people they truly wanted to be. The process that began as an attempt to question their marriages transforms into a journey towards the lives they truly desire.
