Have you always admired Ebru art, but never tried it yourself? Imagine dropping colors onto water, watching the paint swirl and create its own unique patterns, and then saying, "I made that!" This workshop is designed to give you that very feeling. For 2 hours, you'll experience the traditional art of Ebru from start to finish. Using authentic Ebru brushes, combs, and natural pigments, you'll create your own original design. First, you'll practice on paper, and then you'll transfer your final design onto a tote bag. The result will be something completely unique, something that no one else can replicate. It doesn't matter if you've never held a brush before. The vast majority of our guests are trying Ebru for the first time. The beauty of Ebru is that the water does half the work for you, and you're likely to be amazed by the results, even on your first attempt. In addition to your tote bag, you'll also create two Ebru-decorated postcards. While your bag is drying, you're welcome to enjoy a relaxing break with freshly brewed Turkish tea, coffee, and homemade cookies. We work in small groups of up to 10 people, ensuring a friendly, comfortable, and personalized experience. Ultimately, you'll leave with something more than just a decorative item to gather dust on a shelf. You'll have a design that you can use every day, something that people will ask you about.
